Sun

Sun's Wholesale's parent company, Sun's Club, Inc., also owns A.F. Imports, a Golbon entity. Sun's Club was established in April 2006 to consolidate cash & carry and foodservice operations under one umbrella, Golbon pointed out.

Sun's Wholesale, Inc., moved into a new 180,000-sq.-ft. facility in January. The new location houses both the A.F. Imports and Sun's Wholesale Club. In the past, A.F. Imports was primarily servicing the Asian market in both retail and foodservice.

The new focus for Sun's Wholesale Club is to expand into Hispanic and mainstream foodservice products to further penetrate Houston and the surrounding markets. These new categories are expected to provide many new supplier opportunities, Golbon indicated.

A.F. Imports has seen no change in ownership or management and business will be conducted as usual.
