Munn, who is currently senior director of labor relations, assumed his new duties on Dec. 15. In his new role, he will be responsible for Sysco's union relations in North America and will provide support to the company's broadline and specialty operating companies.
Munn, 54, began his Sysco career in 1982, serving at the company's corporate office as associate general counsel. In 1986, he joined its broadline subsidiary in Chicago, where he served as vice president of operations until 1992 when he was hired to serve in the same capacity at the Salt Lake City operation.
Munn relocated to the Philadelphia subsidiary in 1995 to serve as vice president of employee relations and in 1999, he returned to the corporate headquarters to serve in his current position.
Munn is a native of Joplin, MO, where he also attended Missouri Southern State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1973. A member of the Missouri Bar Association and the American Bar Association, he is also a graduate of The University of Tulsa, located in Tulsa, OK, where he was awarded a juris doctor degree in 1976. He and his wife, Linda, have three sons and reside in Cypress, Texas.
