Sysco Raleigh & Sysco Charlotte To Carry Certified Angus Beef

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 10, 2011)—Sysco Charlotte and Sysco Raleigh recently became the 116th and 117th distributors in the country to carry the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, offering everything from premium steaks to premium grinds.

Amanda Wydner, Executive Account Manager for Certified Angus Beef LLC, said she’s pleased to offer additional distribution in the Carolina market, particularly with the addition of a new Buckhead Beef production facility near Charlotte, which will service both houses.

Mark Polzer, vice president of business development for the brand, said the relationship between Sysco and Buckhead’s new facility will allow customers the opportunity to request unique cuts with little lead time.

“The Buckhead cut shop will provide fresh-cut products for both Sysco Raleigh and Sysco Charlotte, so they can give customers next-day service,” Polzer said.

Sysco Charlotte and Sysco Raleigh will begin shipping Certified Angus Beef ® brand products on March 14.
