Taco Bell debuts $1 breakfast menu

At a time when many QSRs are ditching their dollar menus, Taco Bell is bucking the trend by adding one.

The chain’s new dollar menu—which launched Thursday—contains 10 breakfast items, including a handful of new ones, such as a mini skillet bowl, a breakfast soft taco and a sausage flatbread quesadilla.

“While dollar menus disappear across America, Taco Bell is continuing to reinvent breakfast with delicious and unique menu items only Taco Bell can provide, with 10 items for $1 each,” Taco Bell CMO Marisa Thalberg said in a statement.

Breakfast has been a battleground for QSRs of late, as McDonald’s reportedly looks to expand its all-day breakfast menu and Wendy’s seems poised to roll out its breakfast items to more markets.

Taco Bell launched its breakfast menu in 2014, recently adding an a.m. version of its new Quesalupa, an item the chain had championed as its “biggest food creation yet.”
