Three Additional Distributors Join Golbon Foodservice Marketing Group

BOISE, ID (August 1, 2013)—Foodservice marketing group Golbon announced the addition of three new members to their group: Bartur Foods, Downeast Food Distributors and Perrone and Sons.

Joining the group effective July 12, Bartur Foods is a foodservice distributor headquartered in Portland, Ore. Established in 1962 and located in the central eastside business district, Bartur Foods provides a full line of meats, cheeses, dry goods, paper products, and spices. Their clientele includes Italian, pizza, family dining, bar and grills, camps, as well as retirement homes.

Perrone and Sons, Inc. in Metairie La. joined Golbon effective July 15. The company was established in 1924 when the Perrone family emigrated from Palermo, Italy to New Orleans and settled in the French Quarter. The fourth generation is continuing the family tradition. Perrone and Sons provides products in all temperature categories to their customer base of restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, and casinos.

The company’s distribution area includes Southern Louisiana and Mississippi. This month they are celebrating their one-year anniversary in their new 30,000 square foot location.

Downeast Food Distributors was established in 1981, and joined Golbon effective August 1. The company opened with the goal of serving Maine bakeries, restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops. Downeast Food Distributors provides products for all food businesses as well as orchards, homemakers and walk-in retail customers.

The company offers a 15,000 square foot warehouse as well as a 40×40 foot freezer to house over 5,000 items.
