Tim Hortons Wednesday closed 15 restaurants in New York and six in Maine, CNBC reports.
While the brand did not confirm the number of locations it suddenly closed, it told CNBC in an email that the closures were part of a plan to “build [a] foundation for accelerated growth in the U.S.”
Comp sales at Tim Hortons rose 5.3 percent during the latest quarter.
