Under the new structure, service currently provided by the Altoona Division to chain restaurants will moved to other U.S. Foodservice locations that can more efficiently serve them. The change will significantly reduce the miles driven to service these customers, reduce fuel consumption and time need to drive what have been typically long routes, the division said in its announcement.
