In an era of $5 value meals, sometimes guests really want to splurge on something special. Galpao Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse this year rolled out the option of a 24-Karat Golden Steak at its seven locations. Wrapped in 24-karat gold foil, the top sirloin is served atop a Himalayan salt block rolled out on a bespoke cart that is brought to the table. The meat is carved by a gaucho (with a golden knife, of course). The offering is priced at $55 for weekday lunch and $75 for dinner and weekend service in California and Nevada ($73 in South Carolina).
