Rafael Acevedo named Dunkin’ U.S. CMO

The former Coca-Cola executive will be responsible for developing strategies that build the company’s position in the coffee business.

The Dunkin’ Brands finance chief will take over for David Pipes, who is retiring after a 40-year career.

Regina Tobin moves up to chief learning and culture offer, and Hernan Mujica is appointed an executive officer.

The longtime company veteran takes over for Roz Brewer, who is now the CEO of Walgreen’s. Michael Conway will take over as president of international.

Danielle Vona, a veteran of Sonic and Pepsico, moves up from CMO of Outback.

The franchise veteran previously helped to expand Qdoba, Moe's and Potbelly.

The owner of Fatburger and Johnny Rockets also named Allen Sussman general counsel and Rob Rosen EVP capital markets.

The company said he resigned to pursue opportunities elsewhere. The pizza chain said that CEO Ritch Allison would act as interim finance chief until a permanent successor is found.

The former Mooyah president will lead operations at the San Diego-based burger chain.
