Beans & Brews has a new CEO.
Doug Willmarth, who on Monday said he would be stepping down as president of Mooyah Burgers Fries and Shakes, is joining the Salt Lake City-based Beans & Brews Coffeehouse as CEO, the company announced Tuesday.
Before joining Mooyah in late 2020, Willmarth held leadership roles with restaurant brands that included Wingstop, Pizza Hut and Chili’s. He also worked at packaged goods companies Pepsico and Kraft Foods, and he was a Naval officer and aviator for nine years.
Founded in 1993 in Salt Lake City, Beans & Brews is a franchise brand with more than 80 units across four states. The company has more than 110 locations in development.
Willmarth said he is thrilled to be a part of the coffeehouse chain’s next phase of growth.
“My goal is to build the brand and bring the elevated product and connections of Beans & Brews to more communities across the country,” he said in a statement. “I believe in building a brand that appeals to consumers and is a compelling business opportunity for franchisees. Our key to long term-success is giving franchise owners the tools and support they need to succeed while continuing to grow a brand that customers genuinely love.”
