Every employee currently working in Global Partners’ network of gas stations, c-stores and terminals in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will receive a meal for a family of four. For employees out on a leave of absence and those working in energy terminals, Global Partners will mail a provision box containing fresh, local ingredients with preparation instructions.

“From behind the counter to behind the scenes, our dedicated team is keeping drivers fueled, homes warm and neighbors fed,” said Eric Slifka, CEO of Global Partners. “We can’t do enough to thank our team. They have our sincere gratitude, and we hope these meals help support them as they support our communities.”

  • In an exclusive interview, CSP Daily News recently spoke with Slifka and Mark Cosenza, senior vice president of retail for Global Partners LP, about the future of the coronavirus pandemic and the state of the convenience-store industry. Listen to the interview or read it here.

Global Partners has collaborated with Italian full-service-restaurant Tuscan Kitchen to prepare the meals. The dishes are made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients and include Stagioni pasta, grilled chicken and organic vegetables.

“We want our team to know they matter and [that we] recognize their service,” said Joshua Smith, director of culinary innovation for Global Partners. “They are doing so much every day to help our community, and this was something we could do to help them.”

Waltham, Mass.-based Global Partners operates nearly 300 stores in the United States. The company is No. 26 on the Top 40 update to CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of retail outlets. CSP will release the complete 2020 list in June.
