Damon Gordon tapped to oversee Water Grill’s kitchens

King’s Seafood Co. has tapped in-house celebrity chef Damon Gordon to serve as culinary director of the multi-concept operator’s three Water Grill restaurants.

Gordon has worked in two of the three restaurants since joining King’s in 2012. Earlier, he’d drawn the spotlight as a contestant on the Chopped cable TV program and as a chef at a number of celebrated fine-dining restaurants in New York City and San Diego, including Alain Ducasse and Jeffery Chodorow’s Mix.

He also had his own restaurant, Damon Gordon's Quarter Kitchen at San Diego’s Ivy Hotel.

King’s said Gordon will bring his commitment to seafood sustainability to the new job.
