Del Taco has promoted EVP and Chief Brand Officer John Cappasola to president of the quick-service chain.

Cappasola, who will retain his role as chief brand officer, will helm Del Taco’s marketing, operations, and menu and brand strategy, the chain said. He will report to CEO Paul Murphy, who previously also served as the chain's president.

“Under John’s leadership we’ve repositioned Del Taco, significantly enhanced the menu and our food, and fostered a culture of partnership and collaboration among our people and franchisees to dramatically improve the guest experience,” Murphy said in a statement.

Cappasola joined Del Taco in 2008, then serving as vice president of marketing development.
