This year’s Top 100 Independents ranking saw a resurgence of steakhouses, with several new meat-centric concepts making the list. With average checks often $100-plus, these restaurants are finding success with prime, aged beef and other specialties. While almost all offer the traditional steakhouse fare, many are shaking it up with inventive takes on classics as well as whimsical elements in the decor. Here are the ones that made the list this year.
