Beverage sales have become a major challenge for a restaurant industry getting more of its sales through delivery.

Applebee’s, for instance, has had great success by selling low-cost alcoholic drinks to get consumers excited about its restaurants. And some chains have tested alcohol delivery to find a way to generate beverage sales even on takeout orders.
