Walk-On’s sells catering arm to fund expansion

Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar today announced the sale of its catering business, a move designed to fuel growth of the Cajun-inspired sports bar chain.

Wayne Stabiler Cos., owner of two catering outfits, purchased Walk-On’s Catering. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The catering arm will be merged with the Stabiler concepts Catering Cajun and Le Creole Catering over the course of 2018, the company said in a statement. Walk-On’s made similar moves in 2014 and 2016, selling off their Roux House and Happy’s Irish Pub concepts to focus on the growth of Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar.

“We look forward to what is to come with our restaurant concept because this allows our Walk-On’s Enterprises team to solely focus on the franchising and growth of Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar,” Walk-On’s Enterprises founder and owner Brandon Landry said in a statement.

Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees is an owner and partner in the growing chain, which currently has 16 units throughout Louisiana and Texas and more planned across the Southern U.S.
