Fishery Products Returns to FPI Name

With the termination of a proposed income trust transaction last year, the company has determined that there is no further need to continue with the separate identity of Ocean Cuisine International.

"FPI is a highly respected name in the industry throughout North America and around the world. It has long stood for quality and innovation, and we are thrilled to simplify and consolidate our entire company under our one umbrella FPI identity," said Peter Colbourne, general manager of FPI USA. "From ocean to table, FPI's combination of access to important resources, leadership insights into the rapidly evolving marketplace, and unmatched product innovation truly sets us apart from the competition."

The company said this identity change for the U.S. business is being done to simplify the company's dealings with customers and suppliers, and, as such, no organizational or operating changes accompany this naming transition.
