Chili’s is the latest brand to join the so-called chicken sandwich wars.

The Chili’s Chicken Sandwich launches today as a limited-time offer and will run until the end of June.

The chicken sandwich trend started in the quick-service segment, with the launch of Popeyes now-famous version in late 2019. Dozens of brands followed, but now more casual-dining players are jumping in.

Chili’s entry has some of the same components as others in the ever-growing fried chicken sandwich category. It starts with a hand-battered, hand-breaded crispy chicken breast on a toasted brioche bun. The differentiator is the proprietary “secret sauce” that’s drizzled both on the inside of the bun and the chicken. A tomato slice and lettuce complete the build, with fries served on the side.

Throughout June, My Chili’s Rewards members can order the sandwich as part of the chain’s 3 for $10 menu. Through the deal, guests can order a nonalcoholic beverage, appetizer and entree for $10.

Customers can score the deal and try the sandwich in Chili’s restaurants, to carry out or through delivery.
