Christopher Lee is named culinary VP of Wynn Las Vegas

The celebrated chef joins the hotel-casino complex from Accor and will oversee its 21 restaurants and 11 bars as well as its catering and banquet operations.

Celebrated chef Christopher Lee has been named VP of culinary operations and restaurant development for the Wynn and Encore hotel-casino complex in Las Vegas.

Lee is responsible for the sister properties’ 21 restaurants, 11 bars and extensive catering and banquet operations. He will also oversee development of any new food and beverage operations in the dual-brand operation, which incorporates 4,748 guest rooms and 513,000 square feet of meetings and convention space.

He comes to Wynn Las Vegas from Accor, where he oversaw 275 dining venues in 125 hotels as director of culinary and food and beverage for North and Central America. Accor’s lodging brands include Fairmont, Sofitel, Swissotel and Adagio.

Earlier, Lee ran the kitchens of two Michelin-starred fine-dining restaurants in New York City, Gilt and Aureole.

He was named Best New Chef of 2006 by Food & Wine. The prior year, he won a James Beard Award for Rising Star Chef of the Year.

Lee has spent 20 years in foodservice.
