Farmer Boys brings back signature soups and bread bowls

Farmer Boys is bringing back signature soups and bread bowls to its menu for a limited time.

The soups are served in half-pound sourdough bread bowls from La Brea Bakery and include Boston clam chowder (diced potatoes and chopped sea clams simmered in a creamy broth), Farmer Boys’ signature scratch-made chili (all-beef blend of 100% USDA fresh burger beef and proprietary spices), and cheesy chicken tortilla soup (Mexican blend of five cheeses, chunks of chicken, tomatoes, green peppers, chili powder and jalapeno topped with housemade crispy tortilla strips).

The fast casual has been offering seasonal limited-time soups on its menu since 2008. While its Boston clam chowder and chili have been available previously, its chicken tortilla soup was added to the menu for the first time this year after being chosen by guests through an online survey.

Farmer Boys prides itself on being a customer-driven brand, so we felt it was important to ask our customers what they wanted to see on this year’s soup menu,” said Larry Rusinko, chief marketing officer, in a statement. “They put out a call for a Mexican-inspired soup and we answered with cheesy chicken tortilla, which we anticipate will be a big success on our bread bowl menu this season.”

The soups will be available from Nov. 21 through the end of March 2018.
