Qdoba Mexican Eats is adding bowls for diners who follow special diets to its menu, the fast-casual chain announced Tuesday.

The new menu items, which include a keto bowl and a vegan option, follow in the footsteps of Chipotle Mexican Grill’s introduction of specialty diet-focused Lifestyle Bowls early this year.

Chipotle’s bowls have been such a success for the brand that it added several more diet-centered dishes to its menu in March.

Qdoba, which recently added plant-based Impossible “meat” tacos and bowls, will roll out its new “lifestyle options” systemwide. They are:

  • Smoked Brisket Keto Bowl with brisket, guacamole, lettuce, pico de gallo, salsa verde and shredded cheese.
  • Grilled Fajita Vegan Bowl with sauteed fajita vegetables, guacamole, corn salsa, pico de gallo, salsa verde, brown rice and black beans.
  • Chicken Protein Bowl with a double portion of grilled adobo chicken and sauteed fajita vegetables, guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa verde, lettuce and black beans.

“Our culinary team developed these bowls to adhere to dietary guidelines, while still delivering a memorable flavor experience,” Jill Adams, vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “The new creations make it easy for Qdoba guests that are keto, vegan or just looking to eat more protein to come in and order a tasty meal that still fits in their lifestyle.”
