Taking its name from the French word for "mother," Maman bills itself as a "lifestyle brand" that extends its brick-and-mortar footprint with retail offerings, high-end event hosting, seasonal workshops (including naked cake decorating!) and brand activations. The chain launched as an independent cafe-bakery in New York's SoHo neighborhood in 2014 and now has more than three dozen locations in the U.S. and Canada. Menu offerings include quiche, breakfast bowls, salads, sandwiches, seasonal pastries and an assortment of coffee-based drinks, teas and juices.
