The name says Texas, and the chicken is Nashville style. But Houston TX Hot Chicken, or HHC, was born in Las Vegas in 2021 amid the hot chicken boom. It was co-founded by Houston Crosta and Edmond Barseghian. On the menu are sandwiches and tenders with varying spice levels, from Honey Butter to the dangerously hot "Houston We Have A Problem." The chicken is never frozen and raised without antibiotics or hormones. In 2023, Utah-based private-equity firm Savory Fund invested in the brand with plans for growth. HHC plans to have 75 units open by the end of 2025.
