Founded in 2016 and developed by consultancy The Culinary Edge, this premium chicken concept aims to reinvent fast food with a tech-forward customer experience. On the menu: crispy tenders with never-frozen chicken that has never been treated with antibiotics, sandwiches, fries and salads. The chain recently launched franchising, with goals for national expansion. The first franchised location is scheduled to open this year in Denver. Starbird is backed by private-equity firm KarpReilly and Dollarhyde Investment Group.
