ID NEWS: Fortune survey ranks Tyson 'America's Most Admired Company'

A Fortune Magazine survey has ranked Tyson Foods, Inc., Springdale, AR, "America's Most Admired Company" in the food production industry.

The survey pinpoints the 10 largest companies by revenues in 66 industries and reflects the opinions of 10,000 executives, directors and securities analysts, according to the business magazine. Criteria include innovativeness, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, and quality of products/services. Tyson ranked first in seven of the eight criteria.

Separately, Tyson and three of its executives have been acquitted of conspiring to smuggle illegal immigrants for poultry plant labor.
