“Bringing Wayne’s veteran leadership to our brand is a game changer,” Anthony Bruno, founder of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, said in a statement. “His expertise in delivering an outstanding guest experience and incredible food will enable us to continue pushing toward our next milestone: crossing the 100-unit mark.”

Jones has spent 30-plus years in the restaurant business, having served as president and COO of P.F. Chang’s for the most recent three. In addition, he has held leadership roles at casual-dining concepts BJ’s Restaurants and The Cheesecake Factory.

Sixty-three-unit Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza was this year named one of Technomic’s Top 500 restaurant chains, with an estimated $123.1 million in U.S. sales in 2016.
