Chipotle Mexican Grill on Friday announced that it has hired Marissa Andrada as its new chief human resources officer.
Andrada will start Monday and report to Brian Niccol, the company’s CEO.
She is the third new executive to take a position with the Denver-based fast-casual chain in just the past two months. The company hired Niccol away from Taco Bell in February and named Chris Brandt chief marketing officer last month.
Andrada comes to Chipotle from Kate Spade & Co., where she was the chief human resources officer. She developed plans to recruit top executives and design talent for the multichannel lifestyle brand.
Before that, she had worked with Starbucks, where she was a human resources executive.
Niccol called Andrada “an exceptional human resources executive and a valuable addition to our management team.” He said her priorities will include “building the right structure and capabilities for sustained growth” and “creating a culture of recognition and innovation throughout our company.”
In addition to Kate Spade and Starbucks, Andrada has held positions with GameStop, Red Bull North America, Universal Studios and PepsiCo.
“Chipotle is a tremendous brand with so much potential,” she said in a statement.
