Kim Boerema, formerly chief operating officer of California Pizza Kitchen, has been named CEO of regional brewpub concept Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant.

Boerema, over a 32-year career, has also served as vice president of Texas Roadhouse, regional vice president of Brinker International and a general manager of Bennigan’s.

He succeeds Kevin Finn, a co-founder of Iron Hill, who will become chairman of the board.

The brewpub currently has 14 units and is looking to expand throughout the mid-Atlantic region, the company said in a statement.

“Our foundation is strong, our processes and protocols sound, and our staff is the best in the business,” Finn said. “I am genuinely proud of them and pleased to turn over day-to-day command to Kim, an outstanding leader whose business acumen, drive and operational knowledge foster success at every turn."
