McDonald’s has a new U.S. chief people officer. Pat Myers will take the position on May 19. He has spent his career with companies such as Medtronic, Target, Mars and Kraft Heinz. He will oversee McDonald’s human resources operations in the U.S., including talent management, talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, inclusion, culture and organizational effectiveness.

TGI Fridays hired Phil Broad as president of international franchising to lead its global operations from Dubai. Broad has over 30 years of experience in hospitality and previously led TGI Fridays UK from 1997 to 2000. The company sees his return as key to accelerating international growth and strengthening franchise relationships. The Dallas-based chain has more restaurants overseas than in the U.S.

Biggby Coffee has promoted its CFO Erin Kaylor to the role of president of the East Lansing, Michigan-based coffee chain. Kaylor joined the company in 2023 and has played a key role in the chain’s financial success and franchise system development. Biggby now has more than 430 units open across 13 states.

Cristian Pontiggia has been named executive chef of the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A James Beard Award semi-finalist for Best Chef: Southwest this year, Pontiggia is known for the restaurant Sassella, a fine-dining Italian concept he co-founded in 2019.

Paramjeet Singh Bombra is the new head chef at Baar Baar Los Angeles. Bombra worked previously at the Taj Exota Resort & Spa Andaman, Sheraton Grand at Brigade Gateway Bangalore, and, most recently, at Baar Baar New York for the last six years.

Yes Parade Restaurant Group has named Rudy Riveron executive chef of the restaurant Poquitos in Seattle. Riveron was most recently executive chef of Mezcaleria Oaxaca.

Jagjit Singh is the new executive chef at the InterContinental Cleveland. Singh was most recently executive sous chef at Five Hotels and Resorts in Zurich, Switzerland.

Christopher Nez has been named director of food and beverage at Park Lane New York, where he will oversee the three concepts Calvert’s, Rose Lane and the rooftop lounge Darling. Nez served most recently as assistant director of food and beverage for Highgate Hotels at both WestHouse Hotel New York and Park Central Hotel New York.
