Industry veteran Neil Harfert has been named president of eight-unit chain R&R BBQ, the company announced Friday.

Most recently, Harfert was vice president of field operations for MOD Pizza. He has also worked in operations for chains including Qdoba Mexican Eats and Modern Market Farm Fresh Eateries.

“Having served in leadership capacities for over 26 years in the restaurant industry, I am excited for this opportunity to work with such a beloved brand that is poised for great success,” Harfert said in a statement.

R&R BBQ’s eight units are all in Utah. The brand got its start as a competition barbecue team. The chain’s founders, Rod and Roger Livingston, are retiring.
