Upward Projects, parent company of Postino and several other concepts, is beefing up its C-suite, the restaurant group announced Monday.
Anoop Mathew, formerly of Kimpton Hotels + Restaurants and Back of House Restaurant Group, is the Phoenix-based company’s new CFO.
Brent Renner, who previously worked with Cava Group and Chipotle Mexican Grill, becomes chief development officer.
Casual-dining chain Postino has 10 locations across Arizona, Colorado and Texas. Upward Projects’ other concepts include Federal Pizza, Windsor & Churn and Joyride Taco House.
"Beyond their talents, these are two people that really ‘get’ what we've set out to do—to bring our brands to new communities, while protecting the authentic culture we've worked so hard to establish,” Upward Projects CEO and co-founder Lauren Bailey said in a statement. “They're going to absolutely blow the doors off this thing, and we're all so excited to have them on our team."
In 2017, Upward Projects received an investment from private-equity firm Brentwood Associates to grow the Postino brand nationally.
