A former TGI Fridays CFO has been named to that role for Rego Restaurant Group, the parent company of Quiznos and Taco Del Mar, the company announced Tuesday.

Tom Kurrikoff was the chief financial officer of TGI Fridays during the sale of the company and throughout an extensive refinancing program. Kurrikoff has also worked in finance posts for Pizza Hut and Burger King.

“As we look to expand our brand portfolio through strategic acquisitions, as well as continue to leverage our centers of excellence across the business, Tom brings a tremendous amount of experience,” said Tim Casey, CEO of Rego Restaurant Group, in a statement. “As a highly qualified senior executive with progressive finance and operations experience in multi-unit retail businesses, Tom will play a critical role in resurrecting and transforming our current and future brands.”
