Restaurateur Kimbal Musk, owner of The Kitchen Cafe concept, will not seek re-election to Chipotle Mexican Grill’s board of directors, the chain announced this week. Musk has served on the board since 2013.
Joining Chipotle’s board is Scott Maw, who served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Starbucks from 2014 until his retirement in 2018.
Also joining the board is Patricia Fili-Krushel, CEO of New York-City-based think tank the Center for Talent Innovation. Fili-Krushel previously served as an executive with the Comcast Corp. from 2011 to 2016.
"As we continue to evolve our brand and grow the business, it is an honor to welcome Pat and Scott to our board of directors," said Brian Niccol, CEO of Chipotle. "From contributions in global business strategy and talent management, to finance and risk management, I'm confident both Pat's and Scott's perspectives and valuable insights will help us accelerate our goals."
