Clint Penfield, Smalls Sliders

Clint Penfield is the new chief operating officer at Smalls Sliders. Penfield has spent two decades at Raising Cane’s, where he held multiple leadership roles, including chief of restaurant services, senior vice president of restaurant services, and regional vice president of operations.

 

Corey Rapp

Corey Rapp, Karl Strauss Brewing Company

Corey Rapp is the new executive chef for the Karl Strauss Brewing Company, based in San Diego, which operates nine Southern California brewpubs. Rapp has served as regional chef for more than 12 years, but will be stepping into the executive chef role as Gunther Emathinger retires. Emathinger has been the brewpub chain’s executive chef for 26 years.

 

Austin Green

Austin Green, Soulman's Bar-B-Que

The 20-unit Soulman’s Bar-B-Que, based in Dallas, has made a number of leadership promotions. Austin Green, the daughter of founder Don Hallett, has been promoted to vice president of accounting and finance. Amber Polk, who was director of catering, is stepping into the role of vice president of sales and marketing. Christine Allen, who has been in customer relations for 11 years, replaces Polk as director of catering. And joining the team is Frances Siria, who is director of marketing.

Kayden King has been promoted to director of restaurants for Hard Rock Hotel New York. King served previously as general manager of RT60 Rooftop Bar & Lounge.
