Juice It Up on Wednesday promoted Susan Taylor to be the company’s new president and CEO.

The 30-year industry veteran had been the smoothie and juice chain’s vice president of operations, a position she’d held since coming to the Irvine, Calif.-based company last September.

The 83-unit chain said Taylor will focus on the brand’s newest store design, to be revealed in a pair of locations this summer. The company will also focus on mobile ordering and delivery, revamping its loyalty program and develop new healthful products.

Chris Braun, executive partner with the chain’s owner, SJB Brands, called Taylor “a dynamic, people-oriented brand builder and franchisee advocate who is highly strategic and successful at driving results.”

He noted that Taylor “has made huge contributions in furthering the evolution of the Juice It Up brand” since her arrival in September.

Taylor takes over a mostly California brand that is focused on developing in that and other Western U.S. markets. SJB Brands, a partnership between Chris Britt and Ed St. Geme, along with Braun, acquired the company in 2018. Braun served as CEO during the two years since before ceding the role to Taylor.
