Luong Named Executive Vice President of Sysco



Luong, who currently serves as senior vice president of operation located in Fremont, CA, will assume his new position on July 2, the beginning of Sysco's fiscal year 2007.

Luong began his Sysco career in 1995 as a junior staff accountant for the company's Portland, OR, operation. He was promoted to staff accountant the following year, advanced to assistant controller in 1998 and was named controller in 2000. Luong relocated to California in 2002 when he was appointed cfo of Sysco Food Services of San Francisco. In 2004 he was promoted to his current position.

Luong was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam. In 1975 his family immigrated to the United States, where he was raised in Portland, OR. He is a graduate of Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1995. He and his wife, Dao, reside in Santa Clara, CA.
