1. Bacon blunts, anyone?
In St. Louis, Hi-Pointe Drive-In (pun likely intended) is offering a variety of stoner-friendly menu items, available all day Friday until they sell out. The burger-and-sandwich spot will menu Bacon Blunts (bacon-wrapped macaroni and cheese), the Stony Island Dog (hot dog topped with chili, pizza rolls, cheese sauce and Cool Ranch Doritos dust), Bacon Blunt Burritos and, for dessert, deep-fried ice cream sandwiches and Mac ’n Cheese + Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Cupcakes.
2. Legalization celebration
With recreational marijuana recently made legal in California, six-unit Los Angeles chain D’Amore’s Pizza will offer a “secret” Weed Pizza item. The Weed Pizza is shaped like a pot leaf and topped with basil. “No, the pizza won't get you stoned, but given weed's new legal status in California, we hope you are when you order it (if you're of age, of course),” a spokesperson noted in the press release.
6. Flamin’ Hots for everyone and everything
Woodstock’s Pizza in San Diego will add Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to any menu item—from tater tots to pizza —in honor of 4/20. At Hopdoddy Burger Bar, the 4/20-only High Roller burger features a taco-seasoned patty topped with pepperoni, mozzarella, Flamin’ Hot Cheeto ketchup and Cool Ranch fries between a hemp-seed bun. It’s served with a spoonful of cookie dough.
