Domino’s Pizza on Monday named a new agency of record, WorkInProgress, an independent advertising agency based in Boulder, Colo.

It will be the first new ad agency for Domino’s in 13 years. The company, founded in 2016, was named a small agency of the year in 2020 by the trade publication Ad Age.

Art D’Elia, Domino’s chief marketing officer said that WorkInProgress has “the flexibility and nimbleness we need during these quickly changing times.”

Still, it represents a marked departure for Domino’s, which has enjoyed a strong run with its former agency, Crispin Porter Bogusky. That partnership was marked by the “Oh Yes We Did” campaign in which the company admitted its previous recipe for pizza was not good—a campaign that has been given considerable credit for the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based chain’s turnaround.

Domino’s sales have been so strong in the years since that the chain overtook Pizza Hut to become the world’s largest pizza concept. “Both companies are proud of their many years of teamwork,” Domino’s said in its release.
