KFC is bringing back its Chicken & Waffles

The popular product returns Saturday and will be available for a month.

KFC is bringing back its Kentucky Fried Chicken & Waffles this Saturday.

But they’ll only be back for a month.

The limited-time offer is a return of the Louisville, Ky.-based chain’s popular November promotion. Chicken & Waffles were a “huge hit,” Greg Creed, CEO of KFC parent company Yum Brands, said last month, prompting the chain to bring them back.

The item will return at KFC locations for four weeks, through April 29 or while supplies last. That could be a short period—some restaurants ran out of the product in just two weeks following the previous launch.

“We expected people would love Kentucky Fried Chicken & Waffles when we launched it in 2018,” Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer for KFC U.S., said in a statement. “But we underestimated how much love there would be. So we’re bringing it back just four months later.”

KFC’s Chicken & Waffles feature Belgian Liege-style waffles that were specially formulated to pair with the chain’s Extra Crispy chicken. KFC spent years developing the waffle and went through “at least” 15 different variations.

The company is offering the Chicken & Waffles as a basket meal option with either a one-piece breast, two-piece thigh and drum, or three-piece tenders, a waffle and a side of syrup for $5.49.

The sandwich features a KFC breast fillet between two waffles and Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup for $5.99.

Big basket meals with two waffles and a choice of two-piece white meat, three-piece dark or four-piece tenders are priced at $7.99.

Ads will begin Saturday featuring both Colonel Sanders and Mrs. Butterworth.
