The Erbert & Gerbert’s sandwich chain has promoted Jeremy Burke to chief operating officer.

The longtime industry veteran was previously VP of brand development and strategy for the nearly 100-unit limited-service chain. He held that role for four years.

His promotion is part of the Midwestern brand’s strategy to accelerate growth, said CEO Eric Wolfe. “He’ll also focus his energy on short and long-term strategic planning for the company and help further ignite brand growth,” the brand’s leader said.

Before joining Erbert & Gerbert’s, Burke spent more than a decade at Buffalo Wild Wings. During his tenure there, the casual-dining chain grew from 300 units to more than 1,000, according to his current employer.
