Welcome to Restaurant Business’ Week in Review for the week of March 10, 2025.

El Pollo Loco’s CEO says the chicken chain needs a brand relaunch to become more modern, more consistent and offer a better customer experience.

There’s a feud brewing between two factions of the retro Big Boy burger brand in Ohio, with one suing the other for allegedly planning to encroach on the other’s turf.

McDonald’s wants to be more like specialized fast-food concepts selling just chicken or beverages. To that end, the hamburger giant has created a new Restaurant Experience Team.

Starbucks is testing new coffee shop designs to become more welcoming and get back to its roots as a third-place destination.

And Wonder, the food hall slash delivery slash meal kit company, is adding another hyphenate after its name: Media brand. The company acquired media production firm Tastemade, with plans to launch a media network.
