Papa Murphy’s appoints Brandon Solano CMO

Papa Murphy’s said it has named former Wendy’s executive Brandon Solano chief marketing officer, effective Nov. 30.

Solano, who replaces interim CMO Chas Hermann at the take-and-bake pizza chain, had served as CMO and senior vice president of marketing at Wendy’s. Prior to his time at the QSR, he held multiple executive roles at Domino’s, where he oversaw development and product innovation.

“Brandon’s significant experience in leading successful brand growth initiatives in the foodservice and CPG pizza categories make him an invaluable asset to Papa Murphy’s as we continue to build our growing brand across the country,” Papa Murphy’s CEO Ken Calwell said in statement.

Solano said he will employ “digital and precision marketing” to boost awareness of the 1,500-unit brand and deliver on company initiatives and plans for growth.

“I am thrilled to join a fast-paced, category-changing company like Papa Murphy’s which continues to support busy families who want to enjoy fresh and healthy meals together at home,” Solano said.
