I organized a restaurant trade association in Oakland to foster networking and communication with other restaurateurs. We have live meetings and roundtables where restaurant owners can share information and discuss issues pertinent to our industry. Our collective power has also attracted other local businesses; bankers, purveyors and tech companies like Cisco have joined our meetings and even sponsor some events.
