Taco Bell names Marisa Thalberg CMO

Taco Bell has promoted Marisa Thalberg to chief marketing officer, the QSR chain announced Thursday.

She replaces Chris Brandt, who left the CMO post to pursue opportunities outside of Yum! Brands, Taco Bell said. Thalberg previously served as the chain’s chief brand engagement officer.

“With Chris’ departure, we are fortunate to have proven leadership in place to continue our great momentum,” Taco Bell CEO Brian Niccol said in a statement. “I’m confident that Marisa’s deep brand experience and unique background will allow us to continue our position as a brand people passionately trust and champion.”

Prior to joining Taco Bell, Thalberg led global digital and marketing efforts at The Estée Lauder Companies.
