Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has hired the former VP of operations at Dos Toros to lead its operations.
Hilary Street will be director of operations for North America at the tech-forward, automat-style dumpling concept as it begins to grow. It will open its first location, in Manhattan, this spring, and has a deal for eight franchised locations in New Jersey.
Street was with fast-casual Dos Toros for six years, rising from director of operations to VP. Before that, she held operational roles with Dunkin', Qdoba and Mexican fast-food chain BurritoVille, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She praised the concept's innovative approach and menu as well as the "passionate people" behind the brand.
"I look forward to supporting our franchisees and welcoming new partners into the fold as Brooklyn Dumpling Shop continues to grow," she said in a statement.
The high-tech concept uses kiosks, temperature-controlled pickup cabinets and robotic cooks to offer customers a “zero human interaction” experience. It has a deal with Fransmart to grow to 1,000 locations in North America.
