Tired of making all those decisions when it comes to customizing a salad? Now guests can use artificial intelligence to get just what they want.
The New York-based fast-casual chain Just Salad on Friday launched a new ordering feature called “Salad AI.”
Using their app, guests can input their lifestyle preferences, nutrition goals and taste profiles, and Salad AI will generate four personalized order recommendations—along with nutrition information and a dressing suggestion—tailored specifically to that individual.
Founder and CEO Nick Kenner said the technology goes beyond traditional menu recommendations and is more a “culinary companion” that understands and adapts to each customer’s evolving tastes and nutritional journey.
“We’ve always been focused on empowering our customers to ‘Eat with Purpose,’ and our new Salad AI program takes that mission to the next level,” said Kenner, in a statement.
“By harnessing the power of AI, we’re not only enhancing the dining experience, but also driving customer retention and acquisition through personalized menu items that excite and inspire our guests,” he added. “The integration of custom meal suggestions simplifies decision making while supporting healthier eating habits, reinforcing our mission to make healthy food accessible to all.”
Just Salad has more than 90 units in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, and the chain recently opened its first drive-thru location in Livingston, New Jersey.
