Three Companies Join IFDA Korea

(May 8, 2013)—This week, the IFDA announced that M's Food System, as well as Daesang Corp. and its affiliate Daesang BestCo, have joined the association as IFDA Korea Members.
 
M's Food System is a newly founded foodservice affiliate of Maeil Dairy Corp. The parent company, headquartered in Seoul, has a product portfolio that includes dairy products, infant formula, soybean milk, yogurt, juices, coffee and various imported products. M’s Food System is a foodservice distribution company serving independent restaurants, chain, and retail accounts, including “western restaurants.”  

Daesang Corp., a leading food manufacturer in South Korea, was established in 1956 and had annual sales of more than $1.5 Billion in 2012. The company manufacturers a wide range of products including instant foods, western foods, processed meats, frozen foods, and agricultural and marine food products. The company also manufactures sweeteners, health foods, coffee, and operates a bio-foods business. Daesang BestCo, a leading food distributor to “territory” restaurants, was established in 2010 and had sales of approximately $320 million in 2012.
