Allergy group names top allergy-friendly chains

People with food allergies or sensitivities are most likely to have their conditions accommodated by Chipotle if they’re interested in a large national brand, or by Maggiano’s if they prefer a smaller operation, according to AllergyEats, an online restaurant guide.

The two topped AllergyEats’ ratings of the most allergy-friendly small and large restaurant chains, respectively. The ranking was based purely on how chains accommodate persons with food intolerances, not on such criteria as food quality, service or ambience, AllergyEats noted in releasing its lists.

“These chains have demonstrated a superior willingness and ability to accommodate guests with food allergies, and we congratulate them for earning a place on this esteemed, well-respected list," said Paul Antico, CEO of the guide.

Here according to AllergyEats’ ratings are allergy sufferers’ best options among large and small chains when dining out.

Most allergy friendly large chains

  • P.F. Chang’s China Bistro
  • Red Robin Gourmet Burgers
