As coffee continues to be a staple beverage for QSRs, operators are looking for new ways they can streamline their operations.

As its sales lag competitors, the growing drive-thru beverage chain is working to build sales, and traffic, behind new Company President Christine Barone.

Laxman Narasimhan, who took over the Seattle-based coffee giant in March, believes the company can optimize its purchasing. “1,500 cup-and-lid combinations.”

Two RB editors sampled the coffee chain's Oleato line of beverages to see whether the combination works. Here’s what they think.

The Seattle-based coffee giant is debuting its Oleato line in select Starbucks Reserve Roasteries on Thursday and then additional locations in Seattle and Los Angeles on Monday. Consumers remain skeptical.

The former head of marketing at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska will “amplify and build upon” the drive-thru coffee chain’s brand.

The drive-thru coffee chain, which raised prices 11% in 2022, said it plans to hold the line in 2023, particularly after it made changes to its loyalty program.
