Bruegger’s Bagels, Jamba Juice to launch co-branded locations

Bruegger’s Bagels and Jamba Juice are teaming up to open nine co-branded locations in the Midwest, East Coast and New England regions as early as September 2015.

These combination units will offer a host of menu items from Bruegger’s, including bagels, cream cheese, coffee, sandwiches, soups and salads, along with smoothies, juices and protein bowls from Jamba Juice.

During testing, the co-branded concept was “an immediate hit,” Bruegger's Bagels president, Paul Carolan, said in a statement. “It became clear that our brands complement each other very well with our mutual focus on freshness and authenticity, and that this partnership offers a way for both brands to extend their reach.”

The co-branding initiative will also offer the 290-unit bagel chain and 805-unit smoothie-and-juice chain the opportunity to strengthen sales across all dayparts, noted James D. White, CEO of Jamba, Inc.
